Happy Valentines Day
This day used to mean Something to me
Used to be full of love
Full of chocolates
Flowers
I would get ready
Hair and makeup
Dress up a little
As the years went on
They become less full
Less love
Until it became nothing
Nothing celebrated
Nothing gave
No makeup or hair
Only pajamas
No love
This is a day I know longer Celebrate
Know longer care to
As I pass the displays and Flowers
As I get that text
“Happy Valentines Day”
Not meant, only said out of Obligation
Not meant but said to scold me for not
This day does not bring me joy like it once did
