I Think Of You Often
In the silence, in my thoughts
Of the life we could’ve had together
Of our little girl
I wish I could go back all the time
Back to 15
Back to being alive
Back to being carefree
Back to being loved correctly
Back to being in love
Back to you
Back to us
God, we were good together
How are souls danced
How your smile would make me melt
How you healed my inner broken child
How you could see the battles
I was fighting inside my head
How every touch I could fill your love
You live in my heart,
are always on my mind,
and hold my soul
I hope in the end it’s me and you
that would make all this pain worth it…
