I Try My Hardest, I’m The Villain, He’s The Victim,

I Try

I Try
I try and keep quiet
I try not to express my anger and pure hatred
I try my hardest not to let you affect me anymore
I’ve spent years defending myself
to only have the same outcome every time
It’s my fault I’m the villain
He’s the victim
So I learned to silence my voice
Not talk back
I learned not to show my emotions
I learned to keep it in
All the hatred All the madness
All the pain
After years of living in hell
I had to learn to survive
But all be honest
Sometimes, my voice gets free
Sometimes, my anger takes over me

  1. In the darkest hour, when hope seems to fade,
Believe in yourself, don’t be afraid.
For within you lies a spark, a flame,
Ready to ignite, ready to claim.
Embrace the challenges, face them strong,
You’re capable of soaring, you belong.
Let failures be lessons, stepping stones,
To greatness that awaits, yet unknown.
When doubts cloud your mind, just remember,
The power within you, an ember.
    With determination and unwavering will,
You can conquer mountains, you have the skill.
Believe in your dreams, let them guide,
    With perseverance, they’ll be realized.
In every setback, find strength anew,
For success is a journey, and it’s up to you.
So rise up, dear soul, spread your wings wide,
Unleash your potential, let it ride.
Embrace the challenges, let them define,
The warrior within you, forever shine.

  2. I am so sorry that you have to live like this, Lynn! But I am glad that you are able to vent like this through your poetry. Your poems are so powerful. They are particularly powerful when you speak them. I am listening to your soul, dear! lol

    1. Thank you so much, Susan. Poetry has definitely been my safe haven. I wish I had started when I was younger. So very therapeutic, I need to record more of my poems, actually.
