Describe one thing you do that brings joy to your life? Writing

Daily Prompt

Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.

Writing is one of my greatest joys. I’ve noticed that since I started writing, it has helped me so much.

Writing has helped heal my inner child. Has helped me heal my soul. Writing releases so much joy and pain within myself. I’ve suppressed so much throughout my life. Writing lets me release all of the things I’ve always wanted to say. But I could never say aloud.

Writing all the thoughts that are always running through this mind. Writing poetry about lost loves and broken hearts. Mental health and the emotional tolls of living with a narcissist. Dealing with and overcoming past traumas.

Writing helps me with my depression. As I don’t have to keep everything suppressed. I can release my thoughts without confrontations. I can write my little heart out.

Writing lets me share knowledge about things I find useful that I can share with others. Things I think could help others. Because it helps me. Topics I’m passionate about that I myself lean from.

I wish I had found the passion of writing long ago. It would have helped me threw out my life so much. I’m glad that I found it now, though. Writing helps me every day.

  1. I agree. Writing opens the doors and windows to all of our inhibitions, thoughts, hopes, and dreams. It’s where our the personality can freely blossom, and our imagination can come to life with the capacity to inspire, uplift, encourage, and entertain. Writing has invisible power that allows us to heal and over time to look back in hindsight and gain a profound perspective of our personal thoughts, views, and actions. Writing helps us grow academically, emotionally and strengthens one’s character. Writing has the amazing ability to release stress, anger, and let go of the negative energy that can cause sickness if left unchecked. Last but not lease. Words have the power of life and death. Why not write the reality you would like to see? Write to yourself every day and allow you to become the person you were truly meant to be.

  2. The words on a page from our own thoughts can be powerful insights and meditations of the heart. You way it so well! Thank you for the link. Have a beautiful weekend, Lynn Rose! Cheers.
