You See Me Struggling, And You Let Me,  Narcissist Poetry

You See ME

You Never See Me
You only see what you want
You see me doing something one day
and assume that I can now do it forever
You see me becoming silent,
and you let me go deeper
You see me drowning,
and you let me
You see me struggling,
you offer no help
You don’t see me
destructing from the inside out
You don’t see me
mentally fighting for my life
The reality
is you don’t care

  1. Love your poem! Life behind the mask is so hard, isn’t it? I get it. I am feeling better every day, and am spending a lot of time in our place with you in the hammock drinking tea and laughing. How are you doing? Have you died from weed eater use yet? I hope you got to go to the beach. 🤗

    1. It is writing definitely helps a lot. I’m so glad you’re getting better. What about your shoulder? I actually need to get my butt out there and weed eat haha but it’s so dam hott. I did go to the beach had a great time. I fell and drowned quite a bit got a good laugh I even rolled hahaha it was so fun.

  2. Just checking in, wondering if the woman behind the mask is OK. I am doing fine. Resting a lot. Not coughing much any more. Hurrah! Thinking of you, Lynn! There is iced tea and brownies in the hammock at our place. Lets laugh our heads off!

    1. Glad that your antibiotics are working finally. Oh yummy brownies you know I love chocolate lol. I’ve just been sweating butt in this heat. Got my cortisone shots yesterday 2 in my upper shoulder. She said she couldn’t give them in my neck not sure why. That medicine definitely hurt going in. She upped my Lyrica to 100mg. I haven’t really noticed a difference.

  3. I am doing very well. Didn’t cough at all last night! Hurrah! My shoulder is improving. I go back to PT week after next. I got some lovely new yarn in the mail. Variegated colors from blue to green to brown. Think I will crochet a tote bag from it. I sure am glad to be out of the hospital. Although the male nurse who took care of me was young and handsome with a good sense of humor. He was quite attentive and gave quite a boost to my libido Hahah! Hope that your cortisone shots and new Lyrica dose help some with the pain. Let me know. How are you doing otherwise? I am spending as much time as I can in our place. Cool breeze, iced tea, brownies, hammock and laughter with you, dear friend. 🤗

    1. I’m glad you’re getting better. Hopefully, the PT continues to help. I tried to crochet and am just an absolute failure hahah I finally got the first step but can’t get past that or remember to how to do it again haha. I wish I would’ve learned when I was younger. Probably would be easier to teach my daughter if I already knew how. Hahah glad you had a nice and handsome nurse some can be very heartless. Nothing better then all those things and you
